Vera Home Design

Services

Interior design, interior architecture and renovation

Vera Home Design supports private clients, investors and second-home owners with the decoration, layout and renovation of their homes, in Bordeaux, Marbella and Saint-Tropez. Three complementary crafts — decoration, design and site supervision — brought together under one roof, for seamless projects from the first sketch to the final styling.

Every project is tailor-made: a one-off consultation on a single room, the complete layout of a Haussmann-style apartment, the renovation of a luxury villa with sea views, or the enhancement of a property ahead of seasonal rental. The common thread: fine materials, carefully crafted light and an elegance that outlasts trends.

Services

Three ways to work together

Bespoke interior design

A high-end interior design service in Bordeaux, Marbella and Saint-Tropez, tailored to character apartments as well as contemporary villas.

  • Full assessment of the property and natural light analysis
  • Artistic direction: colour palette, materials and mood
  • Furniture layout plan and lighting scheme
  • Selection of furniture, textiles, rugs, lighting and art objects
  • Detailed shopping list with references, budgets and lead times
  • Final installation and styling of the home

Interior design isn't just about choosing a sofa or a paint colour: it's about revealing the potential of a place. Every project begins with a careful reading of the space — orientation, natural light, volumes, flow, technical constraints — followed by an in-depth conversation about your lifestyle, habits and wishes. It's from this dual understanding that a fitting, lasting and personal decor is born.

I then design a complete artistic direction: colour palette, fine materials (washed linen, travertine, solid oak, aged brass, artisanal ceramics), furniture layout plan, three-layer lighting scheme, textiles, rugs, curtains and objects. Every proposal is illustrated with a mood board and a detailed shopping list, complete with references, lead times and budgets, so you can decide with complete peace of mind.

Whether you're renovating a Haussmann-style apartment in the Chartrons district, a Bordeaux échoppe in Saint-Genès, a Golden Mile villa in Marbella or a holiday home in Saint-Tropez, the goal remains the same: a coherent, warm and timeless interior that ages beautifully and truly reflects who you are.

Project design & supervision

From sketch to technical drawings, full interior architecture support to turn an idea into concrete reality.

  • Survey of existing spaces and dimensioned 2D plans
  • Photorealistic 3D visuals and mood boards
  • Technical specifications and works description
  • Contractor consultation and comparative quote analysis
  • Trade coordination and site visits
  • Schedule tracking, deliveries and handover of works

Project design covers everything that happens before work begins: surveying existing spaces, dimensioned plans, repositioning of partitions, opening up spaces, creating a master suite, optimising an open kitchen or a bathroom. I work in both 2D plans and 3D visuals so you can picture the outcome precisely before the first hammer falls.

I then draw up the technical specifications for the tradespeople: descriptions, quantities, choice of finishes, layout of electrical and plumbing points, custom joinery details. This document forms the basis for consulting contractors and allows quotes to be compared on an equal footing, with no surprises once work is under way.

During the works, I coordinate the various trades, carry out regular site visits, check that deliveries meet specifications and ensure the schedule is respected. You keep a single point of contact from start to finish.

Renovation & villa layout

Dual expertise in decoration and construction for the complete renovation of apartments, houses and luxury villas between Bordeaux and the Mediterranean.

  • Complete renovation of apartments, houses and villas
  • Space optimisation and redistribution of layouts
  • Choice of materials, finishes and bespoke joinery
  • Outdoor design: terraces, pergolas, pool houses
  • Enhancement of rental properties and second homes
  • Control of timelines, budget and quality of execution

Renovating a property demands as much technical rigour as aesthetic sensitivity. Structure, insulation, utilities, joinery, flooring, air conditioning, pool, terraces: every element must be anticipated so the final decor fits into a perfectly controlled whole. My building background lets me speak on equal footing with contractors and avoid costly trade-offs late in the project.

On the Costa del Sol as on the French Riviera, a villa's layout is designed around light, coolness and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow: lime renders, travertine, natural stone, sun protection, outdoor kitchen, pool house and well-designed shaded areas. In Bordeaux, renovation favours the preservation of heritage features — mouldings, herringbone flooring, fireplaces, glass roofs — paired with contemporary comfort.

From a rental studio to be optimised to a 400 m² family villa, I work at the scale that fits your project, with the same demand for quality of execution and respect for the agreed budget.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

How much does an interior designer in Bordeaux cost?
The cost depends on the surface area, the level of service and the scope of the project. A one-room design consultation is priced differently to a full villa renovation with site supervision. After a free initial conversation, you'll receive a detailed, fixed-price quote with no hidden costs.
Why hire an interior designer in Bordeaux, Marbella or Saint-Tropez?
Hiring an interior designer in Bordeaux, Marbella or Saint-Tropez saves time, prevents costly mistakes and gives you expert guidance on materials, proportions and light. Whether you own a Haussmann-style apartment in the Chartrons district, a contemporary villa on the Golden Mile in Marbella or a holiday home in Saint-Tropez, professional support ensures a coherent, bespoke and lasting result.
Which interior design styles do you favour for luxury villas in Saint-Tropez and Marbella?
On the French Riviera and the Costa del Sol, luxury villas are usually styled in one of three directions. Boho chic, with natural materials, sand and terracotta tones and a relaxed Mediterranean feel, is perfect for Saint-Tropez homes. Sleek modern, with clean lines, generous volumes and fresh materials such as travertine, suits the contemporary villas of Marbella. Revisited classic, finally, blends timeless elegance with modern touches for character properties.
Can you manage the full renovation of a villa or apartment in Bordeaux?
Yes, full renovation of apartments and villas in Bordeaux is part of our services. From the initial assessment to technical drawings, contractor consultation, trade coordination and works handover, we manage the entire project. This dual expertise in interior design and construction management guarantees an aesthetic and technically controlled result, on budget and on schedule.
Do you work outside Bordeaux, Marbella and Saint-Tropez?
Yes. These three areas are my main focus, but I travel across Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the whole French Riviera and Andalusia for decoration or renovation projects. Part of the work can also be done remotely thanks to plans, 3D visuals and video calls.
Do you offer services to enhance a property before rental or sale on the French Riviera?
Absolutely. We support owners and investors in enhancing properties before seasonal rental or sale, in Saint-Tropez, on the French Riviera, in Marbella and in Bordeaux. Enhancement can include home staging, repainting, replacing certain furniture pieces, terrace layout or light renovation. The goal is to maximise the property's appeal, shorten rental or sale times and achieve the best return.
How long does a decoration or renovation project take?
Allow around 4 to 8 weeks for a decoration and layout project with no major works, and 3 to 9 months for a complete apartment or villa renovation, including furniture lead times. A precise schedule is provided as soon as the project is confirmed.
Can I hire you just for advice?
Of course. Some clients only want artistic direction, a colour palette and a shopping list to implement themselves. This lighter interior design consultation formula is perfectly suited to smaller spaces.
What's the difference between interior design and interior architecture?
Decoration focuses on materials, colours, furniture, textiles and lighting. Interior architecture involves structural changes: moving partitions, creating openings, redistributing volumes. Vera Home Design covers both, so you don't need to deal with multiple contacts.
